| Client – Dorset County Council
During the school summer holidays of 2009 Drewsons Building Maintenance were employed by Dorset County Council to design refurbish kitchen serveries in a number of schools throughout the County. This work has been undertaken as part of the Governments campaign to improve school meals for children, highlighted by the Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver’s school meals TV programme in 2005
Due to the restricted time scales and the available access time into schools each kitchen had to be carefully planned in advance with CAD drawings prepared, materials ordered in advance and labour carefully managed.
Working closely with the schools and Chris Maycroft, Dorset County Council’s Project Manger for the School Meals Programme, 18 kitchen serveries were successfully completed between June and September 2009 within budget and to a high standard, the works included minor adjustments to the electrical and plumbing infrastructure to complete refurbishments of the servery area.
Chris Maycroft commented “Drewsons Building Maintenance have provided a one stop shop for the school meals refurbishment programme in schools, which will assist me in completing this project on time and with in the limited budget provided by the Government
